A. Echtermeyer has been Professor for composites and polymers at NTNU since 2008. He is also a consultant at DNV-GL where he previously worked for 18 years. He was responsible for composites and polymers in offshore applications and the development of DNV's offshore standards for composites. Main research areas are: marine and offshore, long term properties, multiscale modeling, failure mechanisms, composite to metal joints, buoyancy, monitoring methods, production methods and quality assurance.
