Vestas www.vestas.com is searching for a production engineering specialist. The production engineering
specialist in composites manufacturing processes will be part of global regional organization to support
blades factories for the wind turbine industry. The department covers all manufacturing activities in the
region and is the first escalation point for the frontline Technical Support employees in the factories. The
department will support the factories in the implementation of new blade models. Furthermore, the
department will supervise tech transfers inside the region and support tech transfers globally.
Responsibilities
Lead projects for processes and equipment improvements.
Solving technical and quality problems trough Root Cause Analysis
Lead New Product Introductions and Technology transfers of new Blades model in the
industrialization phase to get them ready to be produced at factories.
Direct shopfloor support to production staff in the launch of new manufacturing process and
products.
Set-up factory assembly processes, process flows, assembly documentation, training plans in
Coordination with local technical departments in factories.
Qualifications
Engineer Bachelor of Science, or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or
Manufacturing/Industrial.
5 to 10 years related experience in production engineering and technical support in
implementation of new products, processes, and equipment (we will specially value experience
in blades or fiber components manufacturing industry).
Exposure in working in an intercultural environment.
Fluent in English and Italian
