BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF MICOL COSTI
Micol Costi is part of Material ConneXion's Italian research team. Her function is to direct research into innovative products and processes, thus implementing research in consultancy projects, and her expertise is related to a variety of fields, ranging from product design to architecture, from automotive to furniture, from packaging to fashion. She has been the curator of exhibitions about groundbreaking materials design and design for sustainability and is the co-author of publications about advanced materials and environmentally-conscious material development. She holds workshops on material innovation and spoke at international conferences and round tables, focusing, among others, on the chances offered by cutting-edge material solutions and technology transfer. She has been teaching and holding lectures at several universities and design schools. Italian is her first language followed by German, English and French.

È la responsabile del team di ricerca di Materiali e Processi Innovativi presso Material ConneXion Italia, per cui svolge consulenze per clienti internazionali operanti nei settori più diversi e cura, tra le altre cose, mostre dedicate alla progettazione sostenibile ed ai materiali eco-compatibili. È coautrice di pubblicazioni sui materiali innovativi e la sostenibilità nel design e la progettazione. Tiene stabilmente workshop sull'innovazione nei materiali ed è stata relatrice presso conferenze e tavole rotonde internazionali, focalizzandosi, tra le altre cose, sulle opportunità offerte dai trasferimenti di soluzioni materiali e tecnologiche. Ha tenuto cicli di lezioni e seminari presso numerosi atenei. Di madrelingua italiana, parla tedesco, inglese e francese.
